Great weekend

We had a great long weekend. First, Zarley and I went to the Hands on Museum in Ann Arbor on Friday. He had a lot of fun playing at the water table and climbing all over everything. He enjoyed walked the two blocks from the parking garage to the museum. There was so much to look at. Then on Saturday, we went to the park to go swimming with Tracey and Cassie. Zarley and Cassie had a great time talking to each other and laughing with each other. Jeremy missed the fun though because he was helping Tim with his cash for clunkers truck that died on the way to the dealer. Sunday, Zarley and I went to the imagination station while Jeremy was mountain biking with Tim. Then Zarley and Jeremy went shopping in the afternoon together. It's their weekend tradition. And the weekend ended with the steak dinner; what could be better?

What's New

So, over the last few weeks Grammy and Pap have come to visit (giving Jeremy and me a night out as adults). As usual, he had a lot of fun with them. And they brought him a new giraffe stuffed animal and a set of blocks. The blocks were a big hit. Zarley is also starting to get his back molers in; that's been fun. He has been chewing anything that he can get to the back of his mouth; the puzzle piece, the handle to his popcorn-walker thingy. We finally figured out that straws are good and don't leave his toys damaged. We also think that the trouble twos are coming soon. I'm not sure that there was more than an hour that he wasn't having a tautram on Saturday. Anyway, he has been back to his more happy self over the last couple of days.

Have is a picture from today. I finally got him to stand in front of the camera and smile. When Grammy and Pap were here he learn that you can see Grammy in front of you and in the viewing screen of the camera. Pap took a great video of Zarley going back and forth between Grammy and the back of the camera, but we forgot to download before they left. I'll post it once we get it.

Okay, I am sorry to our friends and family for not keeping up on this blog. I will try to be better. I didn't think anyone was checking and just let it slip away.

As for Zarley, he has had an interesting couple of weeks. Zarley and I spent the first half of last week at Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Jenny's house. Zarley got to go to a splash park for the first time. He didn't really enjoy it, but he did go under once all by himself. He also got to meet my friend from high school, Judann, and he three children and spend some time with Aunt Heather at the same time. He got to see Uncle Robbie a couple of times. And he perfected the word "No."

Then on Thursday, Jeremy came to Cleveland and the three of us went to Grammy and Pap's house. As usual, he loved running around their house and playing with them. He also got to meet Michael and Emmy, Jeremy's high school friends, and their two boys, Noah and Luke. But that's were the fun ends. Very early Saturday morning he woke-up with a fever and was up three times during the night. So we left a day early and came home so the he could have the comfort of his own bed. It was a virus that caused the fever. The fever lasted until Tuesday and now the virus has turned into an itchy rash. And he has some kind of skin infection which the doctor sent us to the ER for. The ER didn't find any fluid under his skin, so they sent us home without having to stick him (thankfully). Now we are down to oatmeal baths and antibiotics.

I will go through all the pictures that we have from the last couple of months and post those sometime this weekend.

February 2009

Well we have all had the flu here, even the cat. Zarley's wasn't that bad though.

Zarley has been trying to say go, dog, and down. And he is going to turn into a monkey soon; the boy eats 2-3 bananas a day.

Zarley loves to go outside whenever he can. I finally got some pictures of him in the snow. I also included so pictures that I just thought were cute.

Dec 08 and Jan 09

Okay, so I have been behind on posting information and pictures. During our Christmas break, we decide at the last minute to go on a family vacation for a couple of days to the Smokey Mountains. We had a good time, and Zarley really like the hotel room and the hiking (of course, he just rode on Jeremy's back).

He also has had his 15 month check up. He is now about 25 - 26 lbs and 31 - 32 inches. He is using his baby signs every day now and picking more up very quickly.

I can't think of any other major things that have happened over the last month. Enjoy the pictures.

The Zoo

Today we went to the zoo. It was Zarley's first trip there. He really liked the snow monkeys and the lion. Here are some pictures from our trip.
