Halloween pictures

I realized this weekend that I never posted Halloween pictures, so here they are.

Weird night

Okay, we had a weird night last. Either Zarley went to sleep really early or he took a really long nap. I put him down for a nap at 4 p.m. and he didn't wake-up until 4 a.m. He never sleeps like that. I'm guess the time change had him messed up a bit and he was just catching up.

Infection, Teeth (or really tooth), Clapping

Okay, so we have had a couple of busy and weird weeks. The week after Zarley's birthday he got to go to the doctor's three times. The first was his well baby visit with three shots. The second two were because of a bug bite. Yes, a bug bite. The bit him on the lower lid of his eye. Wednesday it was a little red and just looked like a bite. Thursday it was very red and much bigger, so the first doctor's visit. She said to just watch it and put cold compresses on it (yeah, a one year just loves to sit and have a cold washcloth put on his eye) and to come back the next day. Friday it was still red, but over more of his lower lid and had pus. Now he got to take antibiotics twice a day. He was good about taking the medicine but it did have some side effects and let's said that he had a very bad diaper rash for about a week. So now the eye looks better, the drugs are done, and the diaper rash is gone. And during all of that, Zarley's 7th tooth cut. Oh, and he got a rash from one of his shots, too.

Now is clapping. He is very cute about it. He knows to clap when you ask him to clap. He claps when you say "yeah" or "good job" and when he makes a basket in the sports center toy. He is also getting into the pots, pans, recyclable paper, and tupperware just about every night now. He like to drop the pot lids on the floor. And he likes to push around the stick vacuum (when its off) and the Swiffer.

Okay, there are a lot of pictures, but they are all good. (I know, I'm not objective on that.)

Happy Birthday!!!

My baby is now a toddler. We had a great party for him on Saturday. He had family come in from OH and WV, plus local friends came, too. Yesterday was his one year check up. Zarley is now 24 lbs and 1 oz (70%) and 31" (85%). He is now riding in his front facing seat and walking a lot. He loves to go from the front door to the sunroom and back again.

Cute pictures from today

I got a couple of good pictures of Zarley today, so I thought I would share. First, here are some pictures of what I foudn when I went to get him after his afternoon "nap". The last one is after he tried to climb up the rear window of one of the cars. (I sat him on the truck because he was getting heavy.)

Big, big news!!

Zarley took his first few steps today! He would take a couple of steps and then realize that he wasn't holding onto something and then either grab something or sit down. This was a very proud and scary moment for Mama.
